RAM CAMP Leaders will serve in a co-facilitator role for the week-long leadership camp experience for 700 incoming VCU students. RAM CAMP Leaders will directly co-mentor 10-15 first-year students throughout this week and throughout the students' first academic year. Leaders will serve in this volunteer role without monetary compensation and will be held accountable accordingly for all job expectations and are subject to removal if not fulfilling their duties. RAM CAMP Leaders will be expected to abide by the following expectations:
- Be in good academic standing, minimum 2.25 Fall 2018 term, and cumulative GPA.
- Successfully complete a university and residential life and housing conduct check. (All hired candidates must not actively be on probation, suspension, or banned from a Residential Life and Housing facility).
- Return to campus for RAM CAMP Leader Training Wednesday, 8/7/19-Sunday, 8/11/19
- Participate & be fully engaged during the entire RAM CAMP experience (8/11/19 – 8/16/19)
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout RAM CAMP
- Collaborate and effectively work with your Co-RAM CAMP Leader to provide a positive experience for participants
- Be a positive role model and a good steward of VCU’s mission and goals
- Refrain from all alcohol and drug use during all RAM CAMP events
- Share positive VCU memories and experiences to help motivate incoming students, but this is not an avenue for recruiting new members to your organizations
- Complete all other duties as assigned within your RAM CAMP Leader role
